Let's not destroy ourselves the way we did in each "period" or "era" of human existence. God and His kingdom can be between you and within you. Then He will live amongst you.

"I will send my Holy Spirit to comfort you until My return."

Will these beings return?

Or do they return in each "era", and then people kill them, to live out the archetype that becomes our religion, through which interpretation can be used to create religions or cults that influence human behaviour. Perhaps the right one was never fully developed. With the right combinations that will save this generation and perhaps a lot of the rest. That is more influential and impactful than having children and only impacting the next generation through them.

Perhaps we should start the true religion/cult.

One centred on freedom/emancipation from slavery of any kind - not making others stumble - you were bought at an expensive price through Christ - whose sacrifice and departure gave you the Holy Ghost.

Perhaps this is the story. Each generation/era/period gets their Christ. He dies and leaves, which is the recipe for the Holy Ghost - our access to the Spirit.

The Spirit then guides us to become Christs for our lives and generations, until the religions valor and strength of the story die and man self-destructs to such an epic scale that you either have to start over or require serious rejuvenation.

Didn't God say He will not destroy the earth again after the flood?

Or just that it won't be by flood next time, like the other ancient cultures believed.
